Hey guys,What I am looking for are recommendations for designs of 4 bookshelf speakers that I will be using as surrounds in my 7.1 home theater setup. My front trio are Definitive Technology speakers and they all have 6.5inch drivers and 1 inch metal dome tweeters. With that being said, I was wondering if I should use those same drivers that Def Tech uses, in my surround speaker build? I can get the mids and tweets direct from Def Techs wholesaler.

I want to use 1 or 2 mids and 1 tweeter per cabinet.

What do you guys recommend for crossovers and cabinet designs? I want simple and cheapish. Where can I find the xovers? Thanks in advanced for your help guys!

for a very nice 2-Way design that won't break the bank I highly recommend these:

I built a pair of these after having the full Statments lineup and was very impressed. Good bass output from such a small cabinet, but the midrange and tweeter is where this thing really excels. Sold my Statments because of them and am now designing a new 3-Way with the same HDS tweeter and a Usher 8948A and two 8955A drivers.

These are cool if you use the LCR design for your 4 surrounds.

Or the in-khan-neatos seem pretty cool as well which are linked in the same thread in the OP's signature.

I'm planning on building a 5.0 set of his khanspires, khancenter and the in-khan-neatos this winter for my own system. I was going to go with statements but I don't have enough room to keep then far enough away from the wall.
