Ok, I have Time warner cable with the pioneer 3510HD box. Is there any way to record HDTV on my pc to be encoded using WMV 9? Then i can burn it on dvds for future playback. Right now I have that box, connected through component to my JVC 48" HDTV. I have an AIW 8500DV, but no component in.
Guess, is anyone aware of a component in card? And if not, is there any other way to save HD streams? Everyone i see here is saving via firewire, which is not on my cable box. It does have USB, but not sure if thats out, or just for keyboard / mouse?
