I tried to record a macro for the guide that would do the following:

1.) Bring up the guide

2.) hit the right arrow twice

3.) hit the left arrow twice

This is an attempt to get rid of the stupid ads automatically.

It has not worked. I can't seem to record any macros.

I tried the directions from www.Hifi-remote.com but they didn't work.

Can anyone help?

I found that spacing each command works best, more detailed info can be found here:

I have since stop using this macro as it took to long for it to complete it's commands... I don't even notice the ads anymore and just right space once or twice to make it full screen when needed

But, it will work for you if you read the above posts

Another macro I made was the guide button is actually a guide button times two

This allows me to go right into my custom guide rather than the default guide. I created 4 custom guides, "riz's favorites", "movies", "pay-per-view" and "sports".. I then had to create four other guides in between them (spacers). This way, everytime I click my guide button, it's really a double-click, skipping from one favorite guide to the next. This allowed me to select all channels from the main channel list but eliminate many mostly unused from my default "riz's favorites" custom guide. So, I don't have to have 100 ppv stations in my default guide but can have them by clicking my guide button 3 times

Hope that made sense,

riz
