I have a RCA DirecTV with Ultimate TV unit. I have an intermittent problem where less than 60 minutes of a one hour program is recorded. The recordings start on time and then end prematurely. I was recording Agency and ER both on Thursday night at 10. The “my shows†list says they are 47 minutes and 51 minutes long.


I have read some posts about problems recording back-to-back shows, extending recordings for sports, and ER being notorious for starting early or running late. But nothing about recording less than 60 minutes of a one hour program. Any ideas on what might cause this?

I didn't record "ER" last week because I was at my girlfriend's, but when I removed the recording, I saw that it was scheduled to start at 9:04 (instead of the usual 9:00). And watching it live (she sadly doesn't have UTV), ER did appear to start a minute or two (but not four) after the hour.
