Hopefully, someone can answer a couple of questions for me. I want to burn DVD copies of all of the 4th season of Sopranos from HBO-HD. I will use the 480i S-Video out on my E86 receiver into a video capture card on my PC. What format do I need to burn (DVD-R, +R, -RW, +RW) to play them on a regular (not an HTPC) DVD player (mine is a Panasonic RP-62)? Do I need any special software to use the video cature card to DVD burner? Is there any way to get Dolby Digital 5.1 into the PC and burned on the DVD, or is 2-ch audio the best I can do?

I know that these questions are probably common knowledge around here, but I'm new to this and don't know where to turn. Thanks!

I have tried the PC route and it stunk. If you really want to do this, get a STB DVD burner. I know a few folks who have them and love them.

Will do exactly what you are looking for.
