I have a 4yr old Toshiba 40H80, yesterday I was watching and changed inputs, after switching inputs the red gun convergence was way off in certain areas of the screen. The two other colors are fine. All inputs show the same thing.

To better describe the problem, in the lower left and upper right corners the red convergence is at least a couple inches off, while in other parts of the screen the convergence is good or just a little off. If I pull up the convergence adjustment the crosses in the lower left and upper right corners are so far off that even after trying to adjust them the red cross is inches away from where it should be.

Is there a circuit board gone bad or did the gun crap out? Is it a cheap repair?

TIA

except that it was the blue gun. Convergence was out of wack, couldn't adjust even in DCAM mode. It was diagnosed as the Convergence IC, and it had to be replaced. The TV Guy who I called when the problem occurred said it was either the IC or the AMP. Mine was the IC. Good luck
