Since connecting TWC HD box to my Sony 400Q LCD projector I have a red outline to the left of black vertical lines and a red outline to the right of white vertical lines.


This is very visible on titles.


And can be seen clearly on the 806 test pattern. The thin white line has a 1-pixel red line on its right edge. The thick black bar to the left of the white line has a 1 or 2-pixel red line on its left edge.


Only visible via component -- not S-video.


I've seen one other reference to a color fringe. Has anyone else got a similar problem?

Are your component cable exactly the same length?

I did a test with may home made tri-RG59 component cable, by adding only 6inches to one of them, and it would ruin the picture.

The convergence of the projector would be the same for component and s-video. But there is a circuit that squeezes 1080x1920 to the LCD's lower resolution. I have been assuming this was the problem. But, it could be the box or the cables. One TWC user has reported a problem with green outlines.


YES -- I have a 3-foot length of triple cable. But I will check using the cable that came with the box.
