I ran into a set of five Reference 3A MM Generation 2 speakers. I find little to no information on them. Apparently they are a predecessor to the MM De Capo line that has received very favorable reviews. At the price of the Reference 3A line they should get a good review. The asking price is $100 each. Are these worth the investigation ?

I have a pair. They were rated as one of the finest sounding speakers around, at any price, by UHF magazine back in the day. The French company got sold out from under the designer Daniel Dehay and production was moved to Switzerland I believe, then it went out of business. The new Canadian Reference 3A MM De Capo is based on the original and especially the carbon fiber woofer and 1 capacitor crossover. Same cabinet shape/design. They are also VERY efficient just like the new ones. $100 is an amazing deal. I want to sell mine but was hoping for way more than that. You absolutely can get full on high end audiophile sound from them.
