Not a bad deal at all.. especially for someone who looking for the 120gig HDD that comes on the Elite anyways. Hell I was thinking about a 2nd 360 for the bedroom.. too bad I dont already have the tv or Id jump.

I hope it's under warranty from MS for longer.

Geeks had this same offer a few months ago and I bought the elite. It gave a 2 red light error after about two months. Microsoft fixed it and gave it another 3 month warranty. I could have bought a one year warranty but passed. I think it was $39. Since I bought it mainly as a backup and the 120 gb drive, I have no regrets.

I think all 360's still carry a 3 year warranty against RROD.. hopefully the refurbs are fairly recent. No more than 1-2 years old. That way you'd be covered atleast a year. This is mainly a great deal for anyone looking for a 120gig harddrive as you are pretty much getting a 360 + controller + cables + power supply for another $50 bucks.


But you still have to love the "I wouldnt buy this, but I still have to comment, to just to let the rest of the world know I wouldnt buy this comments". It is, what it is. A refurbed Elite for $199 with a 90 day warranty.


Maybe we should all waste our time surfing the internet looking for items we wouldnt purchase, and taking the time to post how: we.. still.. wouldnt.. purchase.. it. LOL

with Netflix increasing in features next month, I think it's a worthy investment for the living room but then again, the Roku isn't bad neither. Just gotta somehow wire a cat 5 blah blah blah

You cold possibly still register it with MS and get the 3 year warranty from the man. sate on the console, that is if somebody else hasn't already registered that serial #. In my personal experience its about a 50/50 shot....
