Holy cow! I just found what I think is required for remote control operation of my Da-Lite screen. I currently have it installed and wired to a wall switch.
I just assumed I would only need a replacement wall switch that accepted IR commands (kind of like the X10 IR light switches), but I guess I was wrong! It looks like there's a large control box required, and it looks like a pain in the butt.
Maybe I'm missing something - if I already have control via the wall switch, why the heck would I need a large control box just for IR control? Can't the IR componentry fit in a single gang wall switch, or am I missing something?
Is there an easier way to control my screen?
