Foolish me thought he'd save a few bucks and picked up an Infocus X1 replacement lamp through eBay for $200.
Bulb is brand new, but it arrived in the box with one of the side screens off. Appears a 1/16" piece of plastic that holds the screen on broke off.
I have already requested an RMA for the lamp, but before I send it back, I figured it couldn't hurt to ask:
Are there any dangers in trying to super glue on the metal shield that holds the screen onto the housing??
Or even better yet, what risks would I face trying to move the bulb itself into the original lamp's housing??
Probably not worth the risks but I know returning it means paying $100 more through another retailer.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
TAPN
