so i picked up a boston acoustics VR12 center channel speaker from goodwill for 19.99. hooked it up while i was there, sounded beautiful. when i was at checkout, i lifted it back into the basket and heard a clickclunk noise. my heart sank. since i had already paid, i was stuck with it.

got it home, took the speakers out. thankfully, the speaker magnets were fine and not detatched. turns out it was the cross over that had come unglued.

so obv. i need to repair this. would i just use hot glue, or would silicon I be ok to use?

im not sure if im going to replace my mirage frx-c-1 with it, but im mighty tempted given how good it sounded at goodwill.

Hot melt or silicone glue should be fine. Check all the soldered connections to be sure they are intact before sealing everything up. Good luck!

i got some liquid nails im going to use. soldered connections appear to be fine, all speakers fired up and sounded great. i dont see anything that could be loose, but will double check before i seal her back up and wire her in :D

cheers!
