Should I replace the component cables CABLEVISION provided when they installed the SA 4200HD box? They look like pretty cheap cables.I mean its nice they provide something but would good MONSTER cables help the picture out? Thanks J.H.

Not likely. Component cables do not have a very difficult job to perform. Don't look at the cables. Look at the picture. How does the HD picture look?
The cables that Cablevision supplies are not particularly good. They're more like 3 thin audio cables than the 3 thick video cables that they should be.

Most of my friends who have Cablevision HD have upgraded. However, if you decide to upgrade, don't pay the inflated price for Monster Cable. Go to Best Buy and get the Acoustic Research Component cables (~$25 for 6ft, ~$40 for 12ft). They are just as good as the Monster Cables for less than 1/2 the price.
The light grey component cable provided with the 4200HD failed the first day (got a horrible blue image) after unplugging and replugging it while trying my DVI port. I replaced the cable with a more heavy-duty one; no problems since.
