Replacement Lenticular/Fresnel Screen HELP?

687 Views 1 Reply 2 Participants Last post by  KFung
First post in the "Screens" forum, so forgive me if this question has been asked a thousand times. I searched, but did not find string on it. My Pioneer 51" RPTV needs a new screen, the existing on took a blow from a shoe and now is damaged. I looked at Stewart and DaLite web sites, but found little direction and No pricing. Probably best advice I can get right now is "where to look" for a replacement screen. I'd like a screen at least equal to the facory screen, which I thought looked pretty good. My TV is now 4 years old and still looks pretty good (except for the baseball sized crack!)

Thanks in advance for your help, I'm sure you'll hear more from me on this one. Scott

Wow...

It must have taken a pretty hard blow to crack the screen like that! I think you will probably have to look to Pioneer for a replacement screen, neither Stewart nor Da-Lite makes a screen that will match the original screen. If you are willing to go through the trouble of modifying their standard mountings to fit in your TV, Stewart and Da-Lite both have excellent rear screen, although most of Da-Lite's rigid/lenticular/fresnel rear-projection screens come from DNP.

If you don't have any luck with Panasonic I can give you some more advice on rear-screens.
