I've read the other threads but most of them don't talk about room size.

My room is 12 x 12 with a 9 foot ceiling. Floor is solid oak with concrete slab sub-floor (no crawl or basement underneath)

The standard sub just doesn't cut it and starts to fart just a bit to soon. I'm thinking of upgrading to a BIC F12 but I am wondering if it isn't too big.

Other than that, I actually really like the Take Classic. Great sound for the price and size.

Any input?

Thanks.

Alot of it has to do with the fact you room is square and very hard with all the hardwood floor

You might want to consider room treatments first as bass is horrible in square rooms

A Bic F12 will have more output though

Sorry, there is an 8x10 slightly shaggy area rug in the room. I know that my environment isn't the greatest but I can hear the Energy sub struggling to output undistorted sound. It gets very flabby very quickly.
