:confused:I have been using the 791 dedicated HT and was wondering if there is a 7.2 unit that is recommended that is perhaps easier to deal with? And perhaps not break the bank!

The denon has always been a pain in the rear trying to get it to work well, from the HDMI pass thru ports that stopped working, to deciphering the freaking manual, (thanks batpig for your manuals).

I want to replace with a simpler if available 7.2 non Denon and will give the 7.1 to use at a cottage house that only uses a flat screen and a 5.1 system.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. fabby

dont know what your budget is
but Yamaha is probably the most reliable brand of receivers

this is a very solid unit...I used to own one of them

or even its predecessor...though it goes from 9.2 to 7.2
