I use the VSX-55txi to run a pair of Def Tech (with built in subs) and a Mirage center channel. I may add in-ceiling surrounds later for a 5.1 system.

It's main purpose though is to drive a pair of Mirage towers in the living room using only two channel and also a powered mirage sub. I use a Parasound two channel amp for this off the preouts. Seems to work well.

I don't like the auto calibration for the home theater part. It is either calibrated for the home theater or the living room but not both.

I am thinking about replacing it with a NAD T754 and using it to drive everything and moving the parasound amp to the basement theater I am building.

Theortically shouldn't the NAD have more headroom and power than the Pio Elite?
