Replay cutting off recordings on specific channel

My Showstopper 2000 has developed a strange problem. As far as I can tell, it started last Friday. Whenever a show on my Channel 5 (FOX) is recorded, my Replay will record the first several minutes and then the recording will abruptly stop (even though the red record light still indicates that it is recording) well before the end of the program. It does not do this for any other channel.

Anybody else ever run into this problem? Any solution?

Is your channel 5 signal up to par?

Certainly looks fine on the first 5-6 minutes that it records each Channel 5 show. So if a signal goes bad in the middle of a show, it automatically stops recording? Would not the record light go off then?
It would resume recording as soon as signal was reacquired. Not sure whether record light stays on during the no signal period.

Red light stays on. It doesn't care.
Have you ever seen the display when this happens? It could be the FOX + replay 3k tuner bug. This was a SS only bug because the SS had a "feature" to not record copy protected shows. The replay tuner was incorrectly detecting macrovision on OTA channels. The other 3k boxes would work fine because the the replay branded boxes would still recorded protected content and just re-protect the signal on output. The Panasonic folks didn't like this.

I had a problem with my SS on my local Fox channel where a blue screen would appear during the recording/watching of FOX when this bug would happen. The blue screen would state it couldn't record a copy protected show.

I assume you are using cable, but... tell me if I'm wrong.

Regardless if it's the same thing, this is a bug that hasn't ever been fixed or even addressed AFAIK.
The red LED does stay on for the duration regardless of any no source, copyprotection, etc.

Also if the signal was reaquired then the replay would continue to record at the point the signal comes back. This has been validated by several of us.
Jeff, I believe that the Panny false Macrovision detection bug was fixed in software long, long ago.
