"Motorola also announced its participation in a DVR joint venture, codenamed "Disco," with Paul Allen's Vulcan Ventures, his 94 percent held cable service provider, Charter Communications, and ReplayTV, provider of digital set-top boxes that can download and manipulate programming."


Paul Allen's Vulcan Ventures sold almost all its shares of Tivo this month, about $20M worth. Now we know why.

This is terrific news...


This is the future of DVRs. You can sell a lot of boxes through the retailers, but if you get the system into a cable box, them's real numbers. Congrats to Replay on this.
