I understand that the ReplayTV and ShowStoppers use different remote signals. I want to add a ShowStopper into a room with a ReplyTV, so it seems like and ideal solution. Can anyone confirm this? Also, if I were to clone my Replay into the ShowStopper, would I lose the remote difference? Or, is the remote signal format hardware or software based? I would imagine that it would be hardware?

It's true that the Replay and Showstopper remotes send out different signals, but both units respond to the other's signals, so that doesn't help you out much.

The most practical solution that most people use is to always leave one unit turned on, then use the POWER button to toggle between the two. You might also want to disable the disk spindown if you do this (instructions are in the FAQ).

If you are using a Philips Pronto remote you can check out the thread that NetBoy linked to in his post and see how you can handle multiple units.
