Although most TV's now are resistant to screen burn, my Pioneer 16:9 projection television now has a faint image of the ReplayTV screen. Usually to avoid wear and tear on the HD in the Replay, when I'm done watching TV for the night I go to a recorded show, hit play, then stop, and leave the Replay sitting at the default screen. Several times unfortunately, I've left my TV on all night and now I've got this image (only visible with a blue screen like the no input signal screen) burned into my projector.
My question, is there any plans to put a screen saver on this screen? One would think that it could even be used for advertising, like the pause screen. I'd be happy with that certainly.
One thing you can do to help reduce screen burn-in is to go into "Change display brightness" inside of "setup" and set your on-screen colors to the darkest.
Well, I already lost my 34k Buick Lesabre, so I'm hoping that I can hold on to my TV. I'm moving in a year anyway, the tornado kinda forced the issue.
I would recommend that you get the Video Essentials or Avia DVD and calibrate your TV. In all likelyhood, your contrast was set to high, most are from the factory.
