Hi all,
I'm trying to determine what receiver I should get to complete our home theater system, and I'd appreciate any advice you could offer. I can't claim to know much, but I'm trying to understand the issues. I have some older equipment, and my receiver is out of date (Onkyo TX-SV373) and doesn't do HD video, so I need to replace it. The equipment I have is:
Speakers
PS3 (for playing Blu Ray disks)
1080p television
After reading through the forums some, I'm considering the following:
Denon AVR-1611
Denon AVR-1612
Denon AVR-1712
Onkyo TX-SR309
Onkyo TX-NR509
Would these all be acceptable? I don't have big needs, just a simple receiver that will take the signal from the PS3 and be able to send the video to a 1080p TV and the audio to my speakers (5.1 setup). I can get the Onkyos on Amazon for $200-250 and the Denons from $300-$400.
Thanks,
Brian
