Hi, first post here but a long time lurker


I'm in the market for an ED plasma TV, and my military base is running a special on a Magnavox 42mf7000-17. They are trying to get rid of the last one they have for $1800(still new in box), however I cannot find any information on this TV on the web anywhere!


Can anyone tell me what they know about this plasma FAST? I want to go pick it up now if I can find some good knowledge on it. Magnavox is redesigning their website so no luck there.

Try searching on 42mf7000.


It look like a Magnavox/Philips model. Haven't found much in this forum or the internet.

Ehh I went ahead and got the Panasonic TH-42PD25U instead. I got a nice deal from a friend who works at Best Buy who hooked me up with his employee discount. Total cost with 4yr exchange plan was right at $2600. Bit more than what I could have bought the Magnavox for, but there is little to be found about that TV, and lots of praise on this site about the Panasonic, so it seemed a good choice.


Also, wow this board is active. I posted at 9am or so and 11hours later it's on page 3 hehe.


Can't wait for it to get here Wednesday
