I use and HTPC with my NEC XM29plus. The monitor claims to be limited to 1024 x 768, but I've noticed it can go further. I'm wondering if it would be worthwhile for me to get an HD capture card and go that route. I will be getting satellite pretty soon, and shortly after I would consider the HDdish/receiver.

Reads mostly like an HTPC query. Perhaps someone could help you in that forum. I sketched some HDTV parameters here last December. -- John
