After playing about a bit with powerstrip I seem to have cocked it up completely and now if I run powerstrip I loose the screen completely.

Can I reset the defaults from outside of the powerstrip?

Why don't you boot into safe mode, and uninstall PS 3? That will start you back at 640x480p and 16 colors. Then you can re-install PS 3 & start from scratch.

I suggest you enable the "safety switch" in options>>>preferences>>>quick setup>>>hot-key assignments for just such an emergency.

There are actually many ways to do this easily.

1. Hold down the Ctrl key while PowerStrip starts - you'll have the option of resetting the program to its default state.

2. Hold down the Alt key while PowerStrip starts - you'll have the option of bypassing your configuration for the current session.

3. Hit Ctl+Alt+S after PowerStrip starts to tell PowerStrip to restore the display settings it found when it was first installed. (This assumes you didn't change the program's default hot key assignments.)

4. Last resort - close PowerStrip if its running, and delete the pstrip.ini file in your PowerStrip folder.
