O.k. - right off the top - thanks to all you guys out there - this forum has helped me a lot - I've been reading this forum for months and it's been a great help.
I have one question that I can't seem to get a straight answer to and hope someone here can shed some light on it for me (no pun intended...grin)
Here's my setup -
home built screen with cloth from Dazian (115" diag)
Lightware VP800 Projector (800x600 native)
P3-800, Asus CUBX mobo, 384MB - Matrox G400 Max and DVD Rom
PCTV Studio Pro Capture Card
WinDVD 4
Dscaler 4.16 Alpha
PowerDVD as well
The question is - my desktop is set to the projector's native resolution of 800x600 - is this the optimal desktop for DVD viewing? I assume whatever I 'feed' the projector (either widescreen or fullscreen) DVD's or TV - that it will just display what I feed it. So a Widescreen DVD will be Widescreen and fullscreen is fullscreen. Or do I need to change resolution when I'm playing DVD's? This has been very hard to get an answer to - and I'm really curious about it. If I do need to change the res for DVD's - I'll assume I'll use powerstrip and application profiles to do it and keep my res for fullscreen Dish network and such at 800x600. any help on input is appreciated - thanks for all your time!
