I am in the conceptual phase of retrofitting a structured wiring system to my townhouse.

My living room, master bedroom, office and basement will all have HDTVs, media center PC's (or extenders) and local amplification. My living room will have a receiver with 5.1 surround.

Audio, video and pictures will be accessible by each HTPC via a home media server.

My goal is to at least have audio distributed to each room in the house simultaneously. I also want to view and control the HD-PVR from each location.

My questions are though:

1. Would I want video distribution as well?

2. Should I implement a system that can accept sources from any location and distribute it throughout the house?

3. Should I just buy a second HD-PVR for another room instead of installing remote location control for the original HD-PVR?

4. What would be the best way to distribute audio throughout the house from any source in any location? This is the biggest question I guess.

I will be running 3 CAT5e wires and two RG6 coax to each room. Does this seem reasonable?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
