I didn't see a thread on this one, so I figured I'd do one. This is a GREAT movie. I absolutely loved it. Maybe I was just in the mood for this type of flick but I loved it. I'm probably going to watch it again tomorrow. The story is great, the acting is great, it has a wonderful ambience to it, and it's very uplifting and moving, without getting sappy, and funny in a very subtle sort of way. Maybe I'll be the one one who likes it, I dunno, but I highly recommend it. Definitely nothing blows up and there's zero body count. It's a character piece completely, and it demonstrates very well that all you need is a good story and good actors.

I'm not at all a religious person, but folks who are would probably find it particularly inspiring.

Thanks, Dean. This one is in my queue. I heard a certain radio host whose name alone might be enough to cause issues on an AVS thread say that this movie was superlative and very surprising.

Luke Wilson has more depth than he gets credit for, I think. He is actually very good at doing very restrained parts, e.g. The Family Stone, The Royal Tannebaums, and this one.

I'd never before seen one of his co-stars, Rahta Williams I think her name was. What a sweetie pie she is. How you could not fall for her?

I thought it was as good as Juno and Little Miss Sunshine. Very well done character driven film.

I'm not sure I'd put it quite on the level of Juno myself, which I think is a complete modern classic. But it's very good.

I saw a preview of this one and it looked good. My wife's religious and I'm not, but I have no problem with spiritually uplifting pieces. I'll have to que it up and surprise her.

It is on the exact same level as Juno or higher.
