AccessDTV: Is it supposed to look like this?
1080i interlaced fields too closely spaced on PC monitor

To briefly restate the problem: when feeding an 1080i signal from my HiPix to my Sony GDM-F500 monitor, even and odd fields are squished together. No amount of adjustment gets rid of this: changing the picture size doesn't help, and the new brightness/contrast/saturation controls don't help. Apparently, the problem can be worked around on a Sony GDM-W900 by shrinking the image by 20%, but this doesn't help me; I have an F500, not an FW900.

Today I noticed that if I switch my HiPix to YPbPr mode, I see a perfectly interlaced image. Of course, the colors are totally out of whack, which is to be expected when feeding a component signal to an RGB monitor. But, the interlaced fields are perfectly spaced.

I wish I could program my HiPix to output RGB, but use the same sync parameters it uses in component mode! Is there any chance of this happening?
