Hello All -


After discussion in other threads recently concerning the use of composite cables for component signals, I got to thinking.


You know those RF modulators, that can relay composite signals wirelessly to another RF receiver, then into a Vid device?


If there's anyone out there with one of these, howsabout plugging in all 3 components into it, then at the other end, do likewise?


I'm curious on how it handles the bandwidth?


I mean, if it can handle composite adequately, then why not give it a shot?

The ones I saw at Radio Shack have the red/white/yellow - the bandwidth probably wouldn't be good enough for HD sources, but maybe 480p?

The yellow connector is for composite video, it will allow a maximum of 4.2MHz.

The red/white are for analog audio, maximum bandwidth of 15KHz each.

No, it won't work for component video.
