There are also many cheap phone apps that can control devices via wifi or IP, functionally similar to traditional RF. Any remote that uses a "hub" or "base" is RF.

RF remote?
We are building a house and have included a media closet for all of my A/V equipment. None of my equipment is super fancy stuff. We just wanted to hide all of the equipment so we would have a clutter free living room. I thought RF remotes were common, but I’m finding that is not the case. What is my best option for a remote that will control all of my devices from the living room to a media closet?
