Hello All, I Have direct TV and will like to add a Terrestrial antenna for local channels. I need a cheap RG-6 F-type connector input to a RCA output to plug into the TV. If it has a signal amplifier it will help but not needed because of cost.

Thanks

Hello All,

i need a demodulator to connect the RG-6 F-connector input to get the tv signal out on a RCA connection to connect to the tv. I am trying to keep the price down, and all i am seeing is units for about $80.

Hey Wayne....

What are your intentions and exactly WHAT are you trying to interconnect? Your descriptions aren't very concise.

Provide make and model numbers of your existing hardware as well as details about your intentions.

All we know is:

you have a limited budget

have directv

need an f to rca adapter

have an antenna (perhaps?)

have a TV

and now need a demodulater?

Is it as simple as you have an OLD TV and need an external ATSC/digital tuner?

Can't you get the local channels via DirecTV?

I have a Seatel antenna to receive satellite tv which is being fed to 25 Different direct tv receivers. 25 rooms with direct tv. The thing is I now need to incorporate local tv into the system. Local tv will be receiver via roof antenna. The direct tv is connect to the tv via RCA jacks and there is a spare RCA input on the Tv for another input which I will install the local tv connection. That way all that needs to be done is to change input settings to switch between local and cable tv. Due to there being only one RG-6 cable run to each room I have to pass the Seatel dish signal and the terrestrial tv antenna through a multiplexer and then to the rooms where I have to install a Diplexer to split the signal. One input will go into the direct tv receiver box and the second signal will then go from the Diplexer to a Demodulator to RCA output to feed into the Tv. If there is a easier way please let me know.

No local channels on the direct tv.

So, you have a 25 bedroom mansion, and you balk at the cost of an $80 adapter?

Or, is this for a hotel? Then you need a commercial system that is designed for the operation.

What you are asking to do, will cost more than $80 for the adapter. You need a hotel style system, like Ceton UCrypt
