Age long question, I just got a 811 HD receiver. I have two runs for my Dtivo of cheap RAdio Shack RG6 15-1548, the run is under 50 feet. The question is, should I run a line with quad shielding for the HD receiver? Will there be a noticeable increase on picture quality?

Short answer - no. But if you do run RG6 QS, make sure you have the correct tools/fittings to terminate it - don't try to use regular RG6 connectors - they won't fit right, and you'll end up with poor connections (that would probably negate any possible gain from using QS). The correct parts are readily available at RadioShack, et. al.
