Hello,

I am not sure if this is correct forum for this question, but I wasn't sure which one to put it in. I have RG6 running up to my kitchen, I would like to get a LCD Flat Panel Monitor for there and also get a wireless keyboard and mouse so I can use it for Web Surfing etc. Is there such a thing out there that can convert RG6 to SVGA?

My other thought was to buy a LCD Flat Panel TV with a DVD combo, but then I would need something that could convert RG6 to Component or something that the TV's take as input. Any recommendations on a good small LCD Flat panel?

Thanks

Those are just 2 cable types. You need to specify signal types. If the RG6 is carrying an RF analog signal for example, you need something with an NTSC tuner. Most VCRs or TVs have them built in.

Well I am going to be running either a PC with a TV-Out card or digital cable, so I guess both those would be RF. The problem is no LCD Monitors have the ability to hook up stuff besides DVI or SVGA, and the LCD Flat Panels come with component, S-Video and composite.

Since your source is RF, get an LCD TV with a built in tuner, not a computer monitor.

The problem then would be converting RF to something an LCD TV would allow, I haven't found a model yet that allows cable connections. They want composite, component, or S-Video. I would need to have a VCR then to do RF-Demodulation which I dont want since it would take up a bunch of counter space. Any ideas or know of any LCD TV that allows cable connections?

There are many. Do an internet search on LCD TV NTSC. What screen size do you want? How much are you willing to pay.
