Does ripping from within My movies on MCE produce the same bit for bit perfect copy that ripping with anydvd does?
I ask because I simply ripped the disc and am playing it back from My movies and I seem to get video that seems blocky, edgy, etc.
This is my first real attempt at setting up the media center PC so I am sure there could be 100 other things causing the issues, including needing a simple color/brightness/contrast calibration.
I have a p4 machine with ATI 4550 video card going native HDMI out to a jvc DILA RPTV.
Does MCE and my movies automatically use a quality SD dvd player, or does something else that is more tweakable need to be installed? THe last time I messed with this was with XP and Theatertek was the gold standard.
