Hi,

I ripped a few BR movies, and see the following on my hard drive:

Folder named CERTIFICATE (about 10 KB), can I delete this folder?

Folder named BDMV, inside there are:

AUXDATA

BACKUP

BDJO

STREAM (it's the largest, where the movie is)

CLIPNF

JAR

META

PLAYLIST

index.bdmv

MovieObject.bdmv

Can I delete everything else and just keep the STREAM folder (which has a bunch of m2ts files? In other words, is the STREAM folder the only folder I need in order to play the movie, and to burn the movie to a blank BR disc? I don't want any of the extras.

Thank you very much,

Not quite that simple - however, it's still pretty easy:

You can't just "throw away" the stuff you don't think you need - but this is a way to strip out all the extras and still put everything back into the folder structure that TMT is looking for. I convert mine back to ISO at that point in time as it's easier for the family to use that way and I can also use PowerDVD for playback (which seems to work better on some films)

Then you don't delete any.

Once you decide which extras you won't watch again, then you go into the STREAM folder, and delete the corresponding m2ts files. You'll have to identify them first, of course.

So the STREAM folder is the only folder I need if I play on the pc? I assume that to burn the movie onto a disc and play it on a standalone player will require keeping some of the other folders?

Thanks,

Thanks,

No, since you plan on using TMT (or any commercial BD playback software), you pretty much need to keep everything including the playlist and clipinfo stuff.
