well, i am looking for a card to connect to my Marantz receiver for my HTPC, well i narrow the choice down to either an Audigy2, Envy24HT (Terratec, Maudio), and the Digi 96/8 version...
well, which one will offer the best quality.?.as i need the digital connection (either coax or optical will do well), and i noticed that the RME Digi 96/8 doesn't came with any analog output, so basically i can only use its digital out, but is there any difference between the above 3 soundcards if i am just using the digital-out connection.?.
will Envy24HT card offer better performance in analog mode than the RME Digi 96/8 digital mode.?.since i've heard lots of people saying nowadays a good soundcard DAC is better than the one available on mid-priced receiver...my Marantz is SR4300...thanks
