Ok this is what I'm looking to do. I have a front projector in my home theater. Its fan /color wheel (DLP) is fairly noisy, so I thought about doing a little project. What I'd like to do, is make a box that mounts in the ceiling in which the projector will sit. When I turn on a switch, it will activate a actuator that will lower the box. The lower part of the box will be a cut out of the ceiling, so when it is the retracted position, you will just see a little frame. The position needs to be very precise, but it will only need to be 2 positions. It does not need to rotate, or tilt or any of that, just up and down. I'm fairly handy I just dont know where to get the actuators.

Im thinking of using perhaps the seat sliding assembly of a C5 Corvette or similar memory seats, that way memory 1 will be "on" and then memory 2 will be "off/retracted" the only problem is I have no idea how I would interface that with a BCM.

Help!
