i was thinking about getting rock band 2 for my 360 just have a few questions. i have my xbox 360 setup downstairs so i do not have line of sight. i play upstairs and thats my setup. controllers work fine because my xbox is 20 ft away or so and the controllers are 2.4 ghz rf frequency. have a ps3 also setup downstairs if that matters . or maybe guitaR HERO has a different setup . any help?


1. are the drums, mic and guitar rf frequency or do they require ir or a dongle of some sort? usb?

They are all RF except for the mic, which is USB only. If your controller works, they will probably work also. Soon they will release a patch to use the Lips mic, which is also RF wireless (but it might take a while.) Guitar Hero is the same (and has not promised Lips mic compatibility either.)

actually, Logitech will be releasing a wireless mic at the end of January, that's compatible with both RB and GH:WT...
