Rock Band guitar battery life

2399 Views 3 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  ppshooky
I picked up Rock band this past weekend, and spent MOST of the time playing the drums..

I went through about half of Medium on the guitar, and it started to flake out, then lost the signal completly..

Is this thing a battery sucker, or did i get a fault unit?

or in other words.. how long should i expect the guitar to last?!

The included batteries were damn near worthless for me. I bought (yet) another set of eneloops and use them now. Haven't had to change them yet, and I've played quite a bit longer than I did with the original batteries.

Speaking of flaking out, the guitar spazzed on me when somebody sent me a text message on my GSM phone, although it came back once the message finished coming in.

I think the included batteries are pretty random. I've seen people say they died almost immediately, but I've used the batteries that came with the unit and never changed them. And I got it on launch day. So, YMMV -- but I think it is pretty safe to say that if you have fresh batteries the guitar will last a pretty long time with them.
Supposedly, I believe you can go 80 hours on a fresh battery.

I've gone for probably 30, and they are still working.
