Hi there,
I'm not sure if this is the right forum to be posting this but i'll try here first before i try the tv forums. Anyway, I just recently got the 8000HD pvr with Rogers Cable here in Canada. I've been able to use it perfectly fine with component cables and I wanted to test the DVI. I have hooked it up using a dvi-d single link cable that i had lying around.
Anyway I hooked it up to my Samsung HLN4365W1 tv and when i change the input on my tv to DVI I get a screen from the PVR saying that my tv does not support HDCP. Now i've researched online and from what I can tell, my tv does support HDCP, does anyone know why i'm getting this message? Do I have to get a dual link cable? Is there anything else I can try to get this working?
any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
john
