I'm just starting out applying some room treatments to improve sound quality. I've read the Ethan Winer site on utilizing acoustic room treatments, along with reviewing the RealTraps and GIK Acoustic's sites.

I bought some Owens 703 panels, and was thinking it might be real easy to adhere fabric to them using one of the 3M spray adhesives. However, if I spray the surfaces of the fiberglass panels with the adhesive, will I be impairing the sound-absorbing properties? Am I overthinking it here?

I also see from their website that Owens is now advertising a line of acoustic room treatment products. Anyone with any experience with these products? I wonder if they are any more effective than the rigid fiberglass, or if Owens just realized people were using its insulation products as acoustic treatments and is looking to cash in.

Thanks.

I used a light spray of 3m adhesive on the back of the panels to adhere cloth.

I just wrapped around the front, then glued the back.
