ok, so here's the thing. i've ordered the 1065 but it will take about 20 days to arrive. it's back ordered for some reason. however, the store has the 1055 and 1075 combo in drop dead gorgeous silver face. is this combo worth the extra $238.82? do they sound better than the 1065? i'm getting a 10% discount.

Why do you need 1075, if you are going with the 1055? I would look into rsp1066 and rmb1075 as a better combo than 1065. I own 1065 and very happy with it, plenty of juice!

I would go with the RSX-1055 and RMB-1075 combo. The separate amp will probably have more punch and headroom than the RSX-1065 and it gives you a lot more options down the road for mixing and matching components. For example, if you ever want to go to a 7.1 channel system, you've got five extra amplifier channels in the receiver to play with.


The surround processing and features of the 1065, 1055, and 1066 are essentially identical.

I would have gone with RSX-1055 and RMB-1070 (or 1080).
