So I have recently bought the rotel Ra-12 and its a really terrific amp. Now I am also looking for a new headphone as well, of course I get drawn to the HD 650 but I have no clue how to determine if the amp has enough power to drive the sennheiser. Here are the specs for the rotel:

Can anyone help me explain what to look for in the specs? I tried my old sennheisers and the rotel doesn't seem to have any problem driving them, but I would love to understand the numbers as well.

Thanks,
Kasper

I looked, and also saw no specs for the headphone output.

I have a pair of HD650, normally (occasionally) used with the HP output on my DAC.

For grins and out of curiosity, I took them out to the garage, and plugged them into an old old Pioneer SX-780 receiver (for the first time).

It drove them just fine. More than enough volume.
