I am thinking about buying the new Hughes E86 HD receiver. I have a couple of round DSS dishes that I am not using. Can I leave the current dish pointed to the 101 satellite and mount another round dish pointed at 119 satellite? This would save me at least 100 bucks over the eliptical dish.

You sure can. Some say this is better because you can get higher signal strength by dedicating a dish to each sat. Remember though, you'll still need a multiswitch to combine the signals from each dish.

I have a single round dish, can I use this to lock onto ONLY the 119 satellite? I would like to check out the HDTV demo loop, but I don't want to go buy a bunch of new hardware for that.. Is there any way to do it with a single round dish?

Jim,

Separate dishes is a better way to go. Not always necessary but much more flexible for precise aiming and getting around obstacles. Not only cheaper but better, also. How many times can you say that? Art
