Looking to purchase a RPTV 60" or greater and was curious do they make any RPTV w/ out the bottom half so that you can place one in a cabinet, Preferably a MITS or a Sony?

Are you talking existing cabinet? If not, I have a new 65413 Mitsubishi, and the lower panel comes off leaving the screen sticking out about 1 inch or so from the base. This allows you to mount the TV so that only the screen is visible. I don't know if anyone makes a cabinet specifically for this TV, but one could be custom built.


The lower half of the TV contains the optics and must be present for the TV to work.

Exactly. I'm going to build a custom cabinet and wasn't sure if the bases are removable.
