Hey all, The other day I bought a RS VU-190XR because it was on sale and people in other threads comments were positive. Well I get it home and decide it was too large. So I bring it back and explain to the salesman its too big. So he tells me that he has two smaller ones that are only $2.97 the 110 and 160. I bought the 110. I know its only 60 inches shorter but, for under three bucks what a deal! So call your nearest Radio Shack to find out which one they have in stock. Good Hunting :D . PS the part #s are 150-2153 & 150-2155 respectively.

I hope the 110 works for me as the 190 was just a little to big. I still might pick up a 160 just for the heck of it. Keep it for later use. I can not beat the price. This sure made picking a antenna a little easier. Thanks for all the help in other threads. I read a lot of them. Happy DXing.

There was only one store on this side of Tampa Bay with anything. I picked up their only 110 and it was missing some of the hardware-which I can cannibalize from the VU75XR I'm using right now and scrounge the rest.

thanks for the post. Didn't believe it till I called-can't pass up a deal like that!

For $3 I had to get the 110. I already have a 160 though so I have no idea what I'm going to do with it.:D

The first store I tried just said they didn't have it. The second checked the computer and located another store in the area that had two. It looks like they have the ability to check other stores but don't do that as a matter of course.

I second that - to cheap to pass up. I picked one up (last one) last night. After the sales man scanned it in he said " Somethings not right, that can't be correct."

Thanks for the tip JOHNESTANG.

As far as durability, I don't know if I'd put it on my roof. I've got mine in the attic so that wasn't a concern for me.

I can only comment on my results - yours may differ as you will probably hear on this forum. The antenna is installed in my attic with a rotor. I am on a hill in Manchester, NH. I'm able to receive all Boston area DTV stations except WB witch is currently broadcasting at very low power. The transmitting towers in Boston are approximately 50 miles south of my location.

I just got the antenna last night but so far so good - no problems.

I would recommend getting one if you're just getting started. You can't go wrong paying $3. Good Luck.

Great glad to help. I have a 75 in my attic but the reception is poor due to a siding issue. Might try to score a few more for later use. As always good hunting.

Thanks for replying to my other thread. I found a 110 for 2.97. The salesmen didn't know about these deals and I think one of them bought the other 110 they had in stock after he saw the price! I'll install it this weekend and see if it solves my problems. Thanks again!

Glade to help. I am still waiting for my friend to clime up 20 ft. to install mine. I got a bum leg and cannot risk the climb. When I picked up my first 110 the salesman was kind of wanting init for him self but was happy to sell it to me. Hope it helps with your reception. Later.
