Ruby Scalers

Hi,

I am new to this site,I want to replace my CRT front proj.,Dwin transscanner with a Ruby. What's a good scaler?? I've heard good things about DVDO and Vantage, whats the difference for the extra $$$$

I wouldn't worry about a scaler. Digital projectors com "pre-scalered" ;)

What happens when it gets Dish feeds, DVD,VCR, does the Ruby scale them all, or How do you deal with all the different cables: comp.,dvi , hdmi ,S ???

Yes it does,

an external scaler might do a better job,

but the ruby does all that.

If the ruby has enough inputs and you don't mind all the wires,

then that's settled too, you just select the source by remote control.

If you want only one wire going into the ruby (apart from the powercord) I would suggest a scaler that upconverts to HDMI.
