I am trying to run a single speaker wire to the back of my room, but there is a doorway opening that transitions carpet to linoleum. Doing some research I have found 2 options. Do either of these sound better than the other?
I am also wondering if I can bend the metal carpet transition up, stick the speaker wire in, and smash it back down with a rubber mallet.
Option 1) Cut slits on either side of the doorway and run the wire under the carpet
Option 2) Pull the transition strip back and stick the wire inside the metal and hammer the crimper back into the carpet.
