Just scratching my head, and looking for input.
I read the Sound and Vision review, like many of you, and didn't see the answer to my (probably obvious) question. I have a couple of Russound's CA6.4 systems in my home. I interconnected them, so I can access all 4 sources throughout all 12 zones. I have a 400 disk CD changer as one source, and like it. However, the advantages of MP3 are pretty compelling, mostly cataloging and direct access to individual tracks.
My question(finally!) is; can I plug an MP3 server into my Russound system and take advantage of the functionality of both systems? The Russound system has IR repeating from each keypad built-in, but it seems to me that you would need to see the display on the MP3 server to choose individual tracks. Hard to do from a remote location. Maybe a 2-way IR remote controlling the server would be the answer.
Any info, folks?
Many thanks!
